Governance
and Leadership

NLI is governed by a Board of Directors and Council, and works in coordination with NLI USA. NLI is a public-private partnership, combining national support and philanthropic vision.

In accordance with the guidelines stipulated in the National Library Law of 2007, NLI is governed by a Board of Directors and a National Library Council, and works in coordination with NLI USA, the American affiliate of the National Library of Israel, which was established as an independent body in 2014. NLI USA, Inc. is a not-for-profit 501(c) (3) organization founded to promote the interests of the National Library of Israel throughout the United States.
